How to fix jogging/stepping Awning

If your awning is paired to an AUTOMATE sensor (Motion Sensor or Wind & Sun Sensor).

When you go to move your awning out and the awning only extends in a small steps. It is possible the motor has triggered the Safe Guard Technology feature, and is alerting you of a sensor connection issue.
If the connection is lost, the awning will retract safely and only operate in small steps until the connection is re-established.
Most commonly, this simply means the Motion Sensor batteries need replacing, or the Wind & Sun Sensor requires charging or a period of direct sunlight.

MOTION SENSOR

To access the Motion Sensor, press down on the remote and the awning will move in a stepping mode to allow for easy access and appropriate troubleshooting/action.
Motion Sensor requires  2 X AAA alkaline batteries.
To replace the batteries you need to slide the cover off and lift up on the tab as displayed below.

NOTE: We recommend replacing the batteries every 12 months.

WIND & SUN SENSOR

If you're using the AUTOMATE Wind & Sun Sensor confirm the sensor has power, if not, charge by placing in direct sunlight or charge via the Micro USB port as below.
